 Portable Formaldehyde Detector

 

Introduction:
        This product is suitable for the determination of formaldehyde emissions from various man-made boards, laminated wood flooring as well as carpets, carpet padding and carpet adhesives and other interior decoration materials, constant temperature and humidity equilibrium treatment of wood or man-made boards. It can also be used for the detection of volatile and harmful gases in other building materials. The most important feature of the product is that it can simulate the indoor climate to the maximum extent possible, so that the test results are closer to the real environment and therefore realistic and reliable.

ASTM D6007-02 Standard Test Method for the Determination of Formaldehyde Concentration in Gases Released from Wood Products in Small Scale Environmental Chambers

Principle of operation:
        A sample with a surface area of one square metre is placed in a climatic chamber where the temperature, relative humidity, air flow rate and air replacement rate are controlled at a certain value. Formaldehyde is released from the sample and mixed with the air in the chamber. Periodically the air in the chamber is extracted and the extracted air is passed through an absorbent bottle containing distilled water and all the formaldehyde in the air is dissolved in the water; the amount of formaldehyde in the absorbent solution and the volume of air extracted is measured and expressed in milligrams per cubic metre (mg/m³) to calculate the amount of formaldehyde in each cubic metre of air. Sampling is periodic until the formaldehyde concentration in the test chamber reaches an equilibrium state.

Features:
1. The inner cavity of the chamber is made of stainless steel. The surface is smooth without condensation and does not adsorb formaldehyde to ensure testing accuracy. Constant temperature box body using rigid foam material, box door using silicone rubber sealing strip, good insulation performance and sealing performance. The box is equipped with a forced air circulation device (to form a circulating air flow) to ensure that the temperature and humidity in the box is balanced and consistent.
The main structure: the inner chamber is a mirror stainless steel test chamber and the outer layer is an insulation chamber. Compact, clean, efficient and energy saving, it not only reduces energy consumption but also reduces the balancing time of the equipment.
2. The 7" touch screen is used as the dialogue interface for personnel to operate the equipment, which is intuitive and convenient. Can directly set and digital display box temperature, relative humidity, temperature compensation, dew point compensation, dew point deviation, temperature deviation, using original imported sensors, and can automatically record and draw control curve. Configured with special control software to achieve system control, program setting, dynamic data display and historical data playback, fault recording, alarm setting and other functions.
3. The equipment adopts industrial modules and imported programmable controllers, with good operational stability and reliability, which can ensure the long-term trouble-free operation of the equipment, improve the service life of the equipment and reduce the operating cost of the equipment. It also has the function of fault self-test and prompting, which is convenient for users to understand the operation of the equipment and easy to maintain.
4. The control program and operating interface are optimised in accordance with the relevant test standards and are simple and convenient to operate.
5. Change the existing reciprocating mist moisture control, using the dew point method of moisture control, so that the humidity in the chamber changes smoothly, thus greatly improving the precision of moisture control.
6. Adopt the imported thin-film high-precision platinum resistance as the temperature sensor, high precision, stable performance.
7. The box uses a heat exchanger with advanced technology, high heat transfer efficiency, reduce the temperature gradient.
8. Compressor, temperature and humidity sensor, controller, relay and other key parts of the equipment are imported components.
9. Protection device: climate box and dew point water tank have high and low temperature alarm protection measures and high and low water level alarm protection measures.
10. The whole machine is integrated, compact structure; installation, commissioning and use are very simple.

If your machine doesn't work, you can send E-mail to us and we will try our best to find the problem by email or skype video chat if neccesary. After confirmation of the problem, we can send you new spare parts or provide on-site repair.
